After the acquisition of two world class players, Mikey "Method" So and Griffin "shaGuar" Benger, the World Cyber Games USA 2005 tournament held in New York would be the first true test of Team 3D's new roster. With Intel being just announced as the new marquee sponsor of Team 3D prior to the tournament commencing underway, Kyle "Ksharp" Miller, Ron "Rambo" Kim, Sal "Volcano" Garozzo, Josh "Dominator" Sievers, and Mikey "Method" So arose to the occasion, defeating the newly Tylenol sponsored Ouch! Gaming and long-time rivals, compLexity Syndicate to receive the title as Team USA for the fourth straight year. Team 3D will represent the United States of America, along with Team 3D Halo 2 division that defeated the opposition in the same tournament, at the World Cyber Games 2005 Grand Final held in Singapore to compete for the Gold medal and $50,000 grand total prize on November 16, 2005.
